Facts about George Orwell

Some facts about the life of George Orwell:

• He has joined the POUM militia with Trotskyist ideology against Francisco Franco in the Spanish Civil War
• During the Spanish War George was shot in the neck reaching vocal cords, so he had changed his voice, slightly effeminate
• In the 2nd world war Orwell worked as a war correspondent for the BBC
• His work Animal Farm is the most famous
• When he went to England in 1928, George lived situations of extreme poverty, coming to beg until 1933 when he published his first book: In the worst in Paris and London
